David Holt » Founder/President
David started his management career in 1987 managing foreclosure properties for HUD. He served on the board of director of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM) from 1991 through 1995 and served again in 2004 and served as the National President of NARPM during the 1993-94 term. David holds the Master Property Manager (MPM) the Residential Management Professional (RMP), and the Certified Residential Management Company (CRMC) designations through NARPM and the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) which is the property management arm of the National Association of Realtors. David is also one of NARPM’s national instructors and has taught all over the country and Australia. He has also helped to write several of the NARPM certification courses and wrote a 12 hr on-line risk management course for America’s Best. David is licensed Realtor and Broker, licensed general contractor and licensed Property/Casualty Producer and is president of SureVestor, Inc., which is a national insurance agency providing customized landlord risk insurance to cover loss of rent due to a number of situations, malicious damage caused by the tenant and eviction costs.
Derek Hennen » Vice President of Operations
Derek joined the RP Management executive team in 2018 as Vice President of Operations, bringing over 20 years of professional experience in the real estate & property management industry to the company. He is a highly respected and accomplished executive with extensive expertise in all aspects of property management including residential (single family homes, multifamily complexes, associations, etc.), Commercial (Office, Retail, Industrial, Warehouse, Medical, etc.) and Land Development assets. A native and current resident of Minneapolis. He attained the LEED AP & CMCA designations and is currently a (CPM) candidate with the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). Past accomplishments include selection as a MADACS Awards Judge, 2017 CIC Midwest Sustainability Partnership Award Winner. Mr. Hennen is the former chair of BOMA St. Paul’s Energy & environment Committee and Brokers Group. He currently is an active industry member of CAI, MHA, NARPM, BOMA & IREM (Education & Social Committee Member).
Steve Holt » Business Development Manager
Steve’s undergraduate training was in Real Estate Studies and started with the RP Team in 2009 as Assistant Property Manager. For years, Steve has been involved in all aspects of property management. He is also a real estate investor and currently operates an investment company dealing with creative investing through sandwich leasing and tax liens. Steve brings this knowledge of both property management and investing to new landlords.
Cory Grupa » Maintenance Supervisor
Cory has over 30 years of experience in plumbing and mechanical. Cory has a plumbing and boilers license with the state of MN. In 2008 Cory started a home inspection business and is a member of NACHI and is certified. Cory started with RP Management in 2011. He spent the first 3 years as a Maintenance Technician before being promoted to Maintenance Supervisor/Manager.
Laurie Riley » Leasing Coordinator
Laurie has been in the Customer Service industry for over 30 years and has been the leasing coordinator for RP Management since October 2016. Before coming to RP Management, Laurie worked 10 years in the rental housing industry. She enjoys working directly with owners during the leasing process and helping tenants find their next home.
Dan Conoryea » Tenant Services Manager
Before joining RP Management, Dan was a Property Manager for 8 years and manager for a Self-Storage Center. Dan helps tenants with their day to day inquiries, coordinates lease renewals, and helps to make the tenant’s rental experience positive so that they want to stay in our owners properties longer achieving a lease retention rate of over 75%.
Stephanie Ayers » Bookkeeper
Stephanie started with the RP Team in 2012. Stephanie handles all functions of the property bookkeeping to make sure rents are collected and bills are paid timely. She also handles all the tenant security deposit dispositions. She enjoys working with tenants, vendors and owners and looks forward to assisting with any bookkeeping needs. She tells us that she has always felt like her home was here with RP Management.
Ed Nystuen » Maintenance Technician
Ed has been with the RP Team since March of 2015. Ed is an experienced maintenance tech with many years of construction, carpentry and project management skills. Ed previously owned and operated a custom build and remodeling company doing rehabs, remodel and maintenance services for REO and individually owner rental properties.
Wes Durand » Maintenance Technician
Wes has over 18 years in the real estate industry. Prior to coming to R.P. Management, Wes owned a repair and restoration company focusing on masonry work. He also has experience in radon mitigation systems. Wes has won regional and local recognition for business management and coaching skills as a high school hockey coach. He now lends his talents to the tenants and owners we service.
